HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING FINANCING?
If you will be financing your home talk to your lender. They will tell you how much they will loan
you. This only takes a short bit of time to get the answer on if they will loan you the money. This is
called a pre-approval. There are different programs out there depending on your individual situation.
They will also give you an idea of your monthly payment. If you are having trouble finding a lender

and work closely with.

CAN THE STANDARD FLOORPLANS BE MODIFIED OR CAN I USE MY OWN?
Yes and Yes! Most people modify an existing floorplan or they will use their own. We will be happy
to sit down and discuss with you what your needs and desires are in your future home. Contact Us

IS IT HARD TO GET INSURANCE TO COVER A LOG HOME?
Insurance companies are much more educated and in our experience we have not seen anyone have
problems getting insurance on their log home.

WHAT IS THE MOST POPULAR LOG PROFILE NATIONWIDE?
The Standard Contour Profile is the most popular and covers the majority of the market, with our 10
Inch Cope running second and our V Groove, otherwise known as D Log, running a close third.

ARE REAL LOG HOMES LOGS TREATED AND GRADED?
All finished logs, except cedar, are treated with TIM-BOR, an EPA-registered, non-toxic borate
solution that inhibits mildew, decay, and insect attack. Your log home will still require an exterior
maintenance program to keep it beautiful and protected. In addition, our logs meet the stringent Log
Homes Council grading program. This helps ensure the integrity of your home, and also may be
extremely important when it comes time to obtain building permits.

WILL I NEED A SPECIAL FOUNDATION FOR MY LOG HOME?
Your REAL LOG HOME can be built on a variety of standard full foundations or on a concrete slab.
A typical foundation plan along with the first floor framing plans will be provided as part of your
package.

IS THERE MORE EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE TO A LOG HOME?
Exterior maintenance will depend very much on the location of your home. If you use a reputable
stain the maintenance on the exterior of a log home is no greater than that of a regular home. Contact
us to discuss which stains will work best for you and to determine what type of maintenance you
might need based on where you want to build.

WHEN SHOULD WE START PLANNING OUR PROJECT?
We suggest our customers start the blueprint process with us one year in advance of your intended
building date. This allows plenty of time for home design and site preparation work that needs to be
done before delivery. However things vary such as our construction schedule, package delivery etc.
